PROMETAL demonstrates its humanitarian commitment in the health sector through continuous support to the NGO NOMA FUND as part of the annual free surgical campaigns it organizes. Based at the Military Hospital of Region No. 2 in Douala, this initiative provides free surgical care to numerous patients—mostly young children—suffering from severe facial malformations, some of which are linked to Noma disease.
Noma is a rapidly progressing infection that primarily affects children living in extreme poverty. It causes gangrene of the face, and is often fatal or severely disfiguring.
PROMETAL’s support helps make facial reconstruction surgeries possible, restoring dignity and hope to individuals marginalized because of their physical appearance. The company contributes to:
- Reducing inequalities in access to specialized medical care
- Supporting the social reintegration of patients
- Raising public awareness of a little-known but devastating disease
Through this commitment, PROMETAL strengthens its role as a responsible, compassionate, and engaged corporate citizen, dedicated to vital humanitarian causes.
