Born in Mbandjock and settled in Douala during her adolescence, Marie Paulette NGO BOUM – known as “MP” to those close to her – earned her G1 Baccalaureate in 1997, followed by a BTS in Commercial Action. Passionate about management and numbers, she further enriched her academic journey with several Professional Certificates (BP1 and BP2) in 2011. This opened the doors to PROMETAL Groupe, still in its early days, on April 1st of the same year, as a Reception Assistant and Assistant to the Communications Director.
But her ever-growing love for numbers sharpened her curiosity and led her to obtain her BP3 in 2012. Two years later, in 2014, she joined the Local Purchasing and Supply Department (SAAL) as an Assistant, before being promoted to Manager in 2016.
Since then, Marie Paulette has fully embraced her responsibilities: managing purchasing and supply in a context of continuous investment and multiple demands from the Group’s various sites. Under the supervision of the General Manager, and with the support of the Quality Department, she has implemented structured procedures that guarantee reliable interactions with suppliers and efficient supply operations.
Today, a mother and a woman of faith, she combines professional rigor with an undeniable femininity.
As one of the most senior members of PROMETAL’s workforce, Marie Paulette is far from done leaving her mark. Her remarkable journey reminds us of an essential truth: at PROMETAL, steel is ALSO forged by exceptional women.
