Third Point File

Product description

Three-point file cut in steel with a triangular section (3 sides) and tapered shape (“tapered”), semi-soft “TROPIC” brand.

Technical and geometric characteristics

Total length: L = 209 ± 3 mm.
Useful length: l = 152 ± 2 mm.
Length of the line (tail): l = 57 ± 1 mm.
Length of the non-toothed areas (tapered model): l1 = 12 ± 3 mm, l2 = 12 ± 2 mm.
Beveled part length (tapered model): l’ = 40 ± 4 mm.
Width of the faces: A = 12.4 ± 0.9 mm.
Width of the faces at the end (“tapered”): A’ = 6 ± 1 mm.
Angle of the teeth (with the axis of the file): Ø = 60° ± 2°.
Number of teeth / cm: 14 (semi-soft pruning).
The hardness of the useful part of the file must be 61.25 ± 1.5 HRC and it must “stick” to steel with a hardness of less than 60 HRC.

Packing and packaging

The files are coated with a rust protection oil and packed in individual bags before being packaged in a PVC case of 12 units. These cases
are then packed in cases of 50 units, 600 units per case.

Stamping

Each file is stamped on each side, in the non-toothed part closest to the tail. The hallmarks used are as follows:
